The Passion
We are a group of Tearfund supporters passionate about following Jesus. We know this must mean so much more than heading to church on Sunday – it must radically transform the way we think about and live in the world.
The Vision
Tearfund are ‘passionate about the local church bringing justice and transforming lives – overcoming global poverty.’ Tearfund’s 10-year vision is to see ‘50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches.’ We want to be part of making this vision a reality where we live.
The Struggle
We share a common struggle: how do we actualise this in our daily lives? We are busy, stressed people living a fast pace in London. We often feel so disconnected from the poor on our doorstep, let alone the poor around the world.
The Journey
Journey Beyond is an attempt at exploring together how to make space in our lives to connect with things that matter so we can more faithfully follow Jesus. It’s an attempt at going beyond convention to faithfully journeying.
