The Journey Starts 4 October

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Martin Luther King

I’ve always been inspired by this quote – in fact, I have it on my face book site and on a t-shirt. It arouses something in me - a sense of adventure or meaning perhaps. Martin Luther King has captured something of what it means to be a follower of Jesus, i.e. that we find real life when we live for things that matter.

Finding good travelling friends to tackle the journey of radical discipleship is a hard task, especially when it comes to the dreaded issue of money, perhaps because ‘where our treasure is, there our heart is also.’ Scary stuff, for me at least. This autumn, we’re looking for people to join us in journeying beyond traditional perspectives about money, wealth and privilege to explore radical discipleship for ordinary people.

The 10-week Journey starts on Thursday 4 October. We’d love for you to join us.

Every Thursday lunchtime we will post a short ‘thought for the week’ for you to ponder and discuss. It will be accompanied by an action point – some way of putting into practice what we have been thinking about.

If you want to join us on this journey enter you email address into ‘I want to join the journey’ at the top right of this page and hit ‘Subscribe.’ We’ll then email you updates each Thursday.
